Is BattleReady a good Brushrage alternative?

If you want your tracking organised around an army rather than a pile of projects, yes. Brushrage is deep on paint — mixing, timers, photo matching — but its projects are generic and there is no roster. BattleReady imports your army list and tracks every unit to Finished, with paints and recipes attached.

Does Brushrage import army lists?

Accepted Answer

No. Brushrage tracks generic painting projects and a model collection — with session timers and paint mixing — but it has no army roster and cannot import from New Recruit or BattleScribe. Turning a roster into a tracked, paint-aware project is the main thing BattleReady adds on top.

Is Brushrage a bad app?

Accepted Answer

No — Brushrage is genuinely feature-rich: bulk barcode scanning, paint mixing, photo-to-paint, session timers, even in-app paint buying. The flip side of that breadth is a steeper start, and it organises work as generic projects rather than armies. BattleReady is more opinionated and starts from the army you want to finish.

I am a power user — will BattleReady feel too simple?

Accepted Answer

No. The defaults are opinionated, but advanced features (custom recipes, cross-brand swaps, multi-army workflows) are all there. You just are not forced through them on day one.

Can I import my Brushrage data?

Accepted Answer

Not directly today. You can re-add paints via barcode scan or by browsing the paint database. CSV import is on the roadmap.

Does BattleReady work on the web?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BattleReady runs in your browser, so you can plan an army from a laptop, not just your phone. Brushrage has no web app. BattleReady is on web and Android today, with iOS on the way.
